Introduction to the Virginia Christian Alliance
The mission of the VIRGINIA CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE is to promote moral, social and scientific issues we face today from a Biblical point of view. In addition we will refute and oppose, not with hate, but with facts and humor, the secular cultural abuses that have overridden laws and standards of conduct of the past.
We will encourage Christians to participate in these efforts through conferences, development of position papers, booklets and tracts, radio/TV spots, newspaper ads and articles and letters-to-the editor, web sites, newsletters and providing speakers for church and civic meetings.
While non-denominational, we believe in the fundamentals of the Christian Faith, the Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God, One God existent in three persons, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the preeminence of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, death and resurrection, and the need for each individual to accept Jesus as his personal Savior, the promise of everlasting Life if we do and the promise of eternal Hell if we do not. We believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit to help us live an obedient and godly life and we look forward to the return of the Lord Jesus.
We believe Jesus is completely different from the founders of other religions and He cannot be listed with nor compared to the founders of Hinduism, Buddha, Confucius, Muhammad, Joseph Smith, etc. He is above and supreme to all man-led organizations and churches. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to God the Father except through Him.
