Matt is a native of Northeast Texas where he grew up on the M&D Horse farm named after he and his brother Dustin, in Chapel Hill. Matt was greatly influenced by his grandfather Grady who was a pastor, local politician, and entrepreneur. His mother Tandra and his step dad Micheal raised Matt in a Christian home, and taught him many of the values that guide him today. Matt has two younger brothers Dustin and Jace. Dustin graduated from Texas A&M in 2010 and Jace recently graduated High school in 2011. Most of Matt’s family still live and work in Northeast Texas.

Matt graduated high school from Lake Chapel Christian Academy in 1998, and attended college in Neosho, Mo.Matt met his wife to be Charlotte James in Missouri and they were married on May 5, 1999. In September 2000 Matt and Charlotte launched out into full time ministry as Evangelist, and travelled the country for almost 9 years in over 25 states. Matt preached the gospel in many different venues, including revivals, youth camps, camp meetings, conferences, and rallies. The couple travelled over 650,000 miles and ministered in over 2,500 services during their time as Evangelist.

The Lord blessed their family with two children, Russon Matthew was born July 18, 2008 and Rylee Katherine was born October 18, 2009.

Matt and his family moved to the Shenandoah Valley in 2009 to become the Senior Pastors of Bible Holiness Church. Matt pastored the great folks of BHC for 3 years. Matt successfully started new ministries, added new families, and impacted the community in a positive way during his tenure as pastor. Matt and his family will always love and appreciate the people and their time there.

Matt felt the Lord leading him to resign his position as pastor in May 2012 not long after loosing his dad to a heart attack. Shortly after resigning his pastorate the Lord opened the door for a new ministry opportunity with Redeeming Grace Church.

Matt currently lives in Shenandoah, VA with his wife and children. Matt was elected in 2012 as Regional Vice Chairman for the Republican party in the 6th Congressional District, and also works for Congressman Bob Goodlatte’s reelection campaign. He also has done work with the Family Foundation of Virginia during the 2012 General Assembly and serves as an advisor to the Virginia Christian Alliance. He is currently expanding his education through Liberty University.
