William E. “Bill” Nowers (September 26, 1925 – June 6, 2021)
Captain, U.S. Navy (Ret.) | Founder, Creation & Evolution Science Ministries
Born in Bloomington, Illinois, and raised in Waukesha, Wisconsin, William “Bill” Nowers was a committed defender of biblical truth and a long-time Virginia Christian Alliance Board of Advisors member. He served honorably as a U.S. Naval officer before founding Nowers Home Construction, and later, Creation & Evolution Science Ministries. Bill was a devoted husband to Millie, father of six, and grandfather of nine. He passionately taught on Creation, challenged public school textbooks, and authored several Christian apologetics books. Bill passed into eternity at the age of 95, but his legacy lives on through his writings, ministry, and unwavering stand for God’s Word from the very first verse.
