Letter to the Editor:
In the Supreme Court brief against the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) it stated that Gay men and Lesbians were portrayed as Mentally Unstable, Sexually Promiscuous and Morally Deficient.
If you viewed a Gay Pride parade you would have to agree about the participants being mentally unstable.
If you were knowledgeable about public solicitation and glory holes there would be no disagreement about them being sexually promiscuous.
If you ever viewed the videos on the San Francisco bath houses you would have no questions concerning being morally deficient. (The bath houses were eventually closed down as a public danger and nuisance.)
Certainly not all homosexuals would participate in the above, living seemly normal lives, but by definition and action they are involved in perverted sexual acts. These acts have devastating consequences to the individual- HIV/AIDS, STD, suicide and early deaths. In addition they have impact on others, for example, gay Catholic priest assaulting young boys.
Despite all this our Supreme Court ruled that homosexual sodomy is protected as a fundamental right and they could marry. Apparently the majority of voting Americans agree that they pose no harm.
In all of this what does God reveal to us in the HOLY BIBLE? There is strong condemnation of sexual sins- adultery, fornication and homosexuality. For sexual immorality, 23,000 fell dead in one day. In addition there is the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighboring towns which were filled with sexual immorality and every kind of sexual perversion.
For those who believe God is our Creator and who is involved in our daily lives we need to fear God and realize that we reap what we sow and there will be judgment.
