There was a time when many Americans thought the word communism was too strong, and communism in America was not a threat.

Even conservatives often avoided it. Christians avoided it. Political commentators avoided it. It sounded too harsh, too old-fashioned, or too extreme.

Trevor Loudon does not avoid it.

In this episode of United Patriots Uprising with Gary Binford, Loudon argues that communism and democratic socialism are no longer hiding in the shadows. They are becoming visible, vocal, organized, and increasingly comfortable inside American politics.

Please watch or listen to the full interview. It is worth your time, even if you listen while driving, walking, or working around the house.

This Is Not Just Politics

This is not merely Republican versus Democrat.

This is about worldview.

Communism is not only an economic theory. It is a rival view of God, man, property, family, work, and government.

The Bible begins with God. Communism begins with man and material power. The Bible teaches that man is made in the image of God. Communism reduces man to a piece of the collective.

That is why Christians must pay attention.

Colossians 2:8 warns us:

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.” — Colossians 2:8 KJV

Communism is one of those vain philosophies. It promises justice, but it removes God. It promises equality, but it centralizes power. It promises freedom from oppression, but history shows it produces a new ruling class.

The Socialist Movement Is Not Hiding

This is the clearest warning sign.

The Democratic Socialists of America is not hiding what it is. DSA describes itself as the largest socialist organization in the United States, with more than 100,000 members and chapters in all 50 states. DSA also says it is not a political party, but a political and activist organization. Its own electoral arm says DSA organizes in elections to “win and wield power.”
That matters.

Socialists do not need to create a new national Socialist Party if they can win Democratic primaries and use the Democratic ballot line.

That is the point many Americans miss.

The socialist movement can grow inside the existing political structure. It can organize. It can endorse candidates. It can win local races. It can win primaries. Then it can claim the machinery of an old party while pushing a very different worldview.

This is not theory anymore.

DSA’s own July 2026 newsletter celebrated an all-time high of 120,000 members and described its program as a step toward “a democratic socialist future beyond capitalism.”

Christians should not shrug at that phrase.

“Beyond capitalism” does not mean a small tax change. It means a different system.

Democratic Socialism Is Close Enough to Warn Us

Democratic socialism is not the same thing as Soviet communism in every detail.

It claims to seek power through elections, not through armed revolution. It uses words like democracy, workers, fairness, justice, and affordability.

But Christians should ask a deeper question:

Where does final authority rest?

Does it rest with God, the family, the church, private conscience, private property, local communities, and constitutional limits?

Or does it keep moving upward into the hands of the state?

That is where democratic socialism and communism begin to rhyme.

Both move power away from the individual, the family, and the local community. Both treat the state as the great manager of life. Both are hostile to a biblical view of private property and ordered liberty.

We would appreciate your donation.

Marx and Engels wrote in The Communist Manifesto:

“The theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property.”

That is not compatible with a biblical worldview that recognizes stewardship, labor, inheritance, family responsibility, and the commandment, “Thou shalt not steal.”

When the State Promises to Feed You

New York City gives us a current example.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani has advanced a plan for five municipal grocery stores, one in each borough. The city says the stores will offer a 30 percent discount on a core basket of groceries.

That may sound compassionate.

Food is expensive. Families are hurting. Christians should care about that.

But we should also ask what this reveals.

When prices rise, the socialist instinct is not first to remove burdens, reduce regulation, strengthen families, encourage local enterprise, or ask why the market is strained.

The socialist instinct is to make government the provider.

And when government becomes the provider, it does not stop at providing. It begins to rule.

First groceries. Then rent. Then wages. Then schools. Then speech. Then conscience.

The state that feeds you soon believes it owns you.

History Has Already Warned Us

We do not have to guess where this road leads.

The 20th century already told us.

When communist movements gained power, they did not produce paradise. They produced secret police, prison camps, forced labor, seized property, broken families, famine, and mass graves.

The promise was equality.

The fruit was control.

The Soviet Union used state power to seize farms and control agriculture. Millions suffered under forced collectivization and famine. China’s Great Leap Forward brought catastrophic death. Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge gave the world the killing fields.

Not every socialist proposal is a death camp. We should be honest about that.

But every movement that keeps moving power upward into the state should be judged by where that road has led before.

When the state becomes ultimate, people become expendable.

That is why Genesis 1:27 matters:

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” — Genesis 1:27 KJV

Man is not property of the state.

Man belongs to God.

Trevor Loudon Says Get in the Game

In the interview, Trevor Loudon is not merely warning. He is calling people to act.

He says the most critical thing American patriots can do right now is get involved in the midterm elections. He mentions door knocking, phone banking, giving time, donating money, and helping hold the House and Senate.

That is practical.

Christians often say, “God is in control.” That is true.

But God’s sovereignty is not an excuse for laziness.

David still had to pick up the stone. Gideon still had to go to battle. Nehemiah still had to build the wall with a sword nearby.

So what should we do?

  • Register and vote.

  • Help one good candidate.

  • Knock doors or make calls.

  • Speak clearly in your church and family.

  • Pray, then act.

This is not a game anymore.

Christians Cannot Sit This Out

The rise of open socialism in American politics should shake Christians awake.

We are not called to panic. We are not called to hate. We are not called to slander.

But we are called to watch.

We are called to tell the truth.

We are called to protect our families, churches, communities, and constitutional republic from anti-God ideologies that have destroyed nations before.

Paul wrote:

“Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.” — 1 Corinthians 16:13 KJV

That is the call.

Watch.

Stand.

Be strong.

Communism is not dead. Socialism is not harmless. And Christians who understand biblical truth should not pretend that a movement “beyond capitalism” is just another policy debate.

God rules over nations. He raises up kings and removes them. But He also calls His people to courage.

The hour requires Christian citizens who know the truth, speak the truth, and get in the fight before the state becomes the master.
