For Christians who treasure Scripture, the land of Israel is
closely connected to the biblical account, from God’s promises
to Abraham to the ministry of Jesus. Learning about its history
and geography can help us better understand the places, people,
and events we encounter as we read God’s Word.
This presentation offers an opportunity to hear Dan Pollak’s
perspective on Israel’s history from Genesis to today.
Christians can approach the subject with an open Bible and a
discerning mind, considering what is presented in light of
Scripture and asking thoughtful questions.
As we obey the call to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem”
(Psalm 122:6), learning about Israel can give greater context
to our prayers. Come with a desire to learn, deepen your
understanding, and consider how to speak about Israel with
biblical conviction, accuracy, and compassion.
“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.”
Psalm 122:6, KJV

The mission of the VIRGINIA CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE is to promote moral, social and scientific issues we face today from a Biblical point of view. In addition we will refute and oppose, not with hate, but with facts and humor, the secular cultural abuses that have overridden laws and standards of conduct of the past. We will encourage Christians to participate in these efforts through conferences, development of position papers, booklets and tracts, radio/TV spots, newspaper ads and articles and letters-to-the editor, web sites, newsletters and providing speakers for church and civic meetings.
