East Gate Ministries: Fall Banquet
2. Monday, Sept. 21: East Gate’s annual fund-raising dinner will be held at the Harrisonburg First Church of the Nazarene beginning at 6:30 p.m. to 8:45. The program will feature Annie Lobert, a survivor of more than a decade of sex trafficking and abuse, addictions, abortions, eating disorders, and more. Hear inspiring stories of hope and transformation, with an opportunity to invest in East Gate’s Grace House programs and ministry.

Thursday, Sept. 24: “Celebrating the Past, Revealing Plans for the Future”, BRCS is marking its 25th anniversary with a dinner at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds beginning at 6:30 p.m. The program will feature Dr. Jay Spencer, Provost of Liberty University, and Dr. Dan Egeler, President of the Association of Christian Schools. BRCS will also unveil plans for a bold partnership with Liberty University and for construction of a new preschool-high school campus.

FRC: Values Voter Summit in DC
4. Fri.-Sun., Sept. 25-27: The Family Research Council is holding its 10th anniversary Values Voter Summit at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in DC that well feature a strong line-up of national leaders, such as presidential candidates Ben Carson, Ken Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Bobby Jindal, Rick Santorum, and Scott Walker. A straw poll taken at the end of the Summit will indicate who “Values Voters” favor.
It will also include modern American Heroes of Liberty such as florist Barronelle Stutzman, Sweet Cakes owners Aaron and Melissa Klein, former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran, Kentucky Clerk of the Court Kim Davis, plus others who have paid a high price for standing up for their religious beliefs.
