Prayer Wars II

Millions, I’m convinced, are even at this late hour praying this prayer to the best of our ability. I believe movements and revelations of corruption within the political processes of late reflect directly the Lord’s attentiveness to the genuine prayers of His spiritually attuned prayer warriors.

If America is again—like in the 2016 presidential election—to be so blessed by a positive answer to those prayers by Heaven’s throne room, I believe it will mean that the battle as described in Ephesians chapter 6 will, after the election, intensify even more than if God’s answer is otherwise. And it will, in that case, be this nation’s final dispensation of liberty, if there is not a turning back to God in a major way.

The war of the ages as this Church Age dispensation moves into its final stages will be fought most effectively by God’s people in the prayer closets of America. Let’s be sure to put on the whole armor before engaging in the battles we face.

Creation by Design

This month, ICR zoologist Frank Sherwin pulls back the curtain to reveal just some of the hummingbird’s elegantly intricate capabilities. Mr. Sherwin points out in “Hummingbirds by Design” that when a hummingbird draws nectar from a flower, we can marvel at how both bird and plant were crafted for each other. The Creator carefully constructed the flower in just the right way to feed the tiny creature: “These flowers seem uniquely designed to accommodate a hummingbird’s beak and tongue….God designed the hummingbird’s bill and tongue to drink nectar from flowers many insects wouldn’t be able to access.” Mr. Sherwin also highlights the sophisticated design of the hummingbird’s metabolism, vision, and vocalization. Every part of this tiny bird points to the genius of Christ.

LITERACY IN ANCIENT ISRAEL – NEW FINDINGS SHOW MORE EDUCATED THAN PREVIOUSLY THOUGHT

The Bible does not say what the literacy rate was in ancient Israel, but it does indicate that it was not rare. Now evidence shows that in ancient Israel literacy was not the exclusive domain of a handful of royal scribes, so there is no need to doubt the biblical accounts on these matters. As was the case in last week’s Update on architecture, this emphasis on writing and education came centuries prior to the classical Greeks. We look forward to hearing about more discoveries in the future that will continue to impact this subject

The worst nightmare to us would be: After escaping socialist, authoritarian or anarchistic regimes, we allow America to gradually deteriorate into the kind of nations we escaped from. That is the very reason why we have to organize, share with fellow Americans the invaluable lessons we learned, and forcefully oppose the Biden/Harris presidency.

China: Existential Threat to America

Xi has always believed that China should rule the world. He has always believed he had to get the United States out of the way, especially because Americans promote ideals that are anathema to totalitarianism.

Beijing leaders know they are running out of time. It is really no mystery why they may feel this way. China’s demography is in the initial stages of accelerated decline. We know that China’s environment is exhausted. Think scarcity of water, despite all the flooding.

Up to now, the primary basis of legitimacy of the Chinese Communist Party has been the continual delivery of prosperity. Without the assurance of prosperity, the only remaining basis of legitimacy is nationalism. Nationalism, as a practical matter, means military misadventure abroad.
