Olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson East is expecting her first child with her husband, Andrew East. They had previously suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage, and were thrilled to find out they were expecting again. But that excitement turned to fear when they discovered their child might have Down syndrome.

The Today Show covered the couple’s pregnancy journey, including the complications that were found at a routine 20-week ultrasound. It turned out their baby had a two-vessel umbilical cord to the placenta, as well as dilated kidneys. These can be considered markers for Down syndrome, and the couple was recommended to undergo genetic testing. Read More

Planned Parenthood Lives Up to Its Bloodthirsty and Racist Reputation

Planned Parenthood Lives Up to Its Bloodthirsty and Racist Reputation

Dr Michael Brown | The Stand

When an organization makes billions of dollars killing babies in the womb, it is clearly a bloodthirsty organization. And when a disproportionate number of those babies are black and Hispanic, it is clearly a racist organization.

All this is self-evident when it comes to Planned Parenthood, but recent events – the firing of Planned Parenthood’s president and a blatantly racist tweet – underscore just how deeply Planned Parenthood is a bloodthirsty and racist organization. Read More

Trump blasts Dems for supporting infanticide, late-term abortion: ‘What happened to our values?’

Trump blasts Dems for supporting infanticide, late-term abortion: ‘What happened to our values?’

Congressional Democrats have repeatedly voted against a bill requiring basic medical care for infants born alive after failed abortions, including every sitting senator currently running for president.

Calvin Freiburger | LifeSiteNews

GREENVILLE, North Carolina, July 18, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – President Donald Trump held one of his trademark rallies for supporters in North Carolina Wednesday evening, during which he took the opportunity to double down on criticizing pro-abortion extremism in the Democrat Party.

“Virtually every top Democrat also now supports late-term abortion, ripping babies straight from the mother’s womb, right up until the moment of birth,” Trump said as the crowd booed the practice. Read More

How an article about the Holocaust made this abortionist pro-life

How an article about the Holocaust made this abortionist pro-life

  | LiveAction.org

Former Planned Parenthood medical director Dr. Kathi Aultman had quit her job as an abortionist shortly after giving birth to her daughter but still felt that women had a “right” to abortion. While she was no longer willing to carry out abortions as she had in the past, she was willing to refer her patients for them. Even after becoming Christian, Aultman said she had trouble accepting the idea that abortion is unnecessary.

That is, until her close friends shared with her an article about the Holocaust. Aultman discusses this starting around 9:49 in the interview below: Read More

Heartwarming proof that little children are instinctively pro-life

Heartwarming proof that little children are instinctively pro-life

June 21, 2019 (LifeSiteNews) – Earlier this week, my wife dropped by our pro-life office over lunchtime with our toddler daughter. As we chatted with coffee, Charlotte began to wander through the office to do some exploring, poking here and there to see what she could find. There wasn’t much that was fragile around that she could break, so I wasn’t too concerned.

She soon found a bin of plastic 11-12 week fetal models and began to rescue them from storage. Read More

The Divided States of America

The Divided States of America

Dr. Michael Brown | AskDrBrown.com

I recently wrote about the coming civil war over the issue of abortion, and day by day, state by state, the divide is getting more pronounced and more extreme.

Let’s take a look at a map of America to see where things stand at the moment.

As broken down by NBC News, the states of Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia – forming a connected chain – along with Utah, have passed strong pro-life bills. (In the vocabulary of NBC, of course, these are “anti-abortion” laws.) Read More

Communion and Catholic Pro-Abortion Politicians

Communion and Catholic Pro-Abortion Politicians

by Bob Marshall | Catholic Culture

Evangelical Christian, Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the famed Rev. Billy Graham, in three “tweets” in two minutes captured the hopes and sentiments of many Catholics by urging N.Y. Cardinal Dolan to excommunicate “Catholic” N.Y. Governor Cuomo for bizarrely celebrating and signing a third trimester abortion law. Since the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision Catholic bishops have been in a position to question “Catholic” politicians who openly vote for abortion and who still claim to be Catholics in good standing.

Reverend Graham expressed his concern in his January 29, 2019 tweets, asking the Cardinal to take a moral stand that would have an impact on the worldwide church and also cited Albany’s Bishop Scarfengerger who called abortion torture.

The popular understanding of “excommunication” can consist of denial of Communion which is not formal excommunication, “but does amount to virtual excommunication,” according to Rev. Thomas Rausch of Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles.1 Read More

In one year, late-term abortion killed 4 times more humans in NYC than homicides

In one year, late-term abortion killed 4 times more humans in NYC than homicides

The most recent abortion data from the Centers for Disease Control reveal that more than four times as many human beings were killed by late-term abortions (21 weeks or later) in New York City than by recorded homicides in 2015 — 1485 abortions to 352 homicides. At CNS News, Terence P. Jeffrey writes that despite this fact, the New York Timesrecently pushed the idea — as has most mainstream media, repeatedly — that later abortions like this are “rare.” Jeffrey writes at CNS News:

In its story published Feb. 6, the Times said: “How common is it Very rare. The most recent data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that about 1.3 percent of abortions performed in the United States in 2015 occurred in or after the 21st week of pregnancy.” Read More
