What glorious life awaits Christians after death? Find out with guests Dr. David Reagan and Terry James along with hosts Tim Moore and Nathan Jones on the television program, Christ in Prophecy!

Listen to a discussion on Heaven! This Could be Your Heaven!

Listen to a discussion on Heaven, referencing John 14 where Jesus promises to prepare a place for believers. It emphasizes that Heaven is far better than earthly life, despite many Christians fearing death. The authors, Dr. David Reagan and Terry James, wrote books (“How to Die with a Smile on Your Face” and “Hereafter: It’s Far Better Than You Can Imagine,” respectively) to explore the glory and promises of Heaven.

Rom 8:18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Tim Moore: Greetings in the name of Jesus, our Blessed Hope and welcome to another episode of Christ in Prophecy. In John 14, our Lord Jesus said that He has gone ahead to prepare a place for us in His Father’s house, meaning Heaven. The Bible provides many tantalizing glimpses of just what life in Heaven is going to be like, and it’s such a shame that the mind of man cannot fully comprehend the glories that await us. But that only means Heaven will be far more incredible than we could ever possibly imagine.

Nathan Jones: For Christians, death itself has been defeated. The Apostle Paul taught that while living in this life, we offer fruitful labor to our Lord. But once we depart this life, we will be with Christ, which as Paul said, “to die is gain.” Heaven is far better than this temporal life. And yet most people are so focused on our earthly life that they seldom give a thought to what lies beyond, or if they do think of the afterlife, it’s with the grim dread of death. Instead of longing to be with Jesus, some professing Christians cling to this life at all costs. They exhibit a fear of death that would have been foreign to the New Testament writers.

Key points include:

  1. Heavenly Perspective: Discusses how many Christians fear death due to a lack of understanding about the afterlife, which motivates the authors to educate about Heaven’s promises.

  2. Biblical Perspective: Challenges misconceptions about Heaven being a disembodied existence on clouds, emphasizing instead a tangible, physical existence in the New Jerusalem on the new earth.

  3. Personal Experiences: Terry James shares a personal near-death experience where he encountered young, beautiful people in Heaven, affirming the instantaneous transition to eternal life for believers.

  4. Eternal Hope: Emphasizes the importance of having an eternal perspective, which transforms life on earth and prepares believers for the return of Christ and their eternal home.

  5. Misconceptions: Addresses common misconceptions about Heaven, such as relationships in Heaven and the nature of existence, emphasizing that while specifics are unknown, God’s promise of perfection and glory remains.

This summary captures the essence of the discussion on Heaven, emphasizing biblical teachings, personal experiences, and the transformational impact of an eternal perspective for believers.

About the Author

Lamb and Lion Ministries
Lamb & Lion Ministries was founded in 1980 as a non-denominational, independent ministry. The Ministry does not seek to convert people to any particular church. Rather, it seeks to lift up Jesus and draw people to Him as Lord and Savior. The Ministry was established for the purpose of proclaiming the soon return of Jesus. We do not believe it is possible to know the date when Jesus will return. But we do believe it is possible to know the season of the Lord’s return, and it is our conviction that we are living in that season.
