“Over the Rainbow”
A Covenant Written in the Clouds
Genesis 9 records the first rainbow in Scripture, appearing after the global Flood as a divine promise that God would never again destroy the earth by water. The Hebrew word for rainbow—keshet—is the same used for a warrior’s bow. Yet here, God lays down His bow, pointing it away from Earth, signifying peace and reconciliation rather than wrath. This isn’t mythology or metaphor. This is creationism revealed and reaffirmed through natural wonder, drawing our gaze upward in awe.
As the video notes, rainbows form only under precise conditions: sunlight must enter the atmosphere at a low angle and interact with trillions of suspended water droplets still lingering after a storm.
