Greene Hollowell’s Letter to the Editor (August 31, 2018) to the RichmonTimes–Dispatch
According to recent columns on your Op/Ed Page, there is a consensus that if Roe v. Wade is reversed, the abortion decision would revert to the individual states.
Then the states’ citizens would vote to decide if they wanted mothers to continue to exercise their choice to have an abortion. It then might end up in state supreme courts and eventually go back to the U.S. Supreme Court.
However, since the U.S. Supreme Court decided that the individual states could not discriminate against African-Americans, what would keep it from deciding that it is against the law to kill the baby in the womb?
Hopefully, this would come about and 45 years of America’s holocaust would be over.
