A recent study released by the NCBI, which is under the National Institutes of Health, showed that masks do absolutely nothing to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and their use is even harmful.
NIH published a medical hypothesis by Dr. Baruch Vainshelboim (Cardiology Division, Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Health Care System/Stanford University, Palo Alto, CA, United States).

A Virginian I know has told me of being quite successful in walking into many businesses, mainly retail stores without a mask at all and being approached only a couple of times by anyone suggesting to wear a mask. A couple of times, all you need to do is wave or say “I’m fine” and keep walking. He does so politely and he had just one instance where a store manager chased him down with a little basket of blue face diapers, where he politely put one on and left his nose exposed and that was fine.
It is time for Virginians to be adults about all of this and many are waking up that this “pandemic” is only being used to control dehumanize and put their citizens in a state of fear.
Personally, I am totally done with the whole mask thing.
