You will find, on occasion, in the weekly bulletin, what we call “Creation Bullets.” These are short factual bits of evidence that show the Bible’s six day creation is true and/or Darwinian evolution is a fraud. They are called bullets because they will destroy Darwinian evolution.
First we must realize that creation and evolution are two basic beliefs of the origins of man and the universe that are mutually exclusive. That means if one is true, the other must be false. If we can prove one is false, the other must be true. We can’t prove either one by normal scientific proofs, since they happened before recorded history. But we can prove Darwinian evolution is impossible and that indicates creation must be true. These Creation Bullets will, in some cases add nails to the Darwin coffin, while others will be deadly by themselves and reach the heart of Darwinism.
One of the first points to make is to destroy the fiction that creation is religion while evolution is science. Neither is science by our normal definition. Neither can be measured, tested, repeated, or proven. Answers in Genesis uses the term historic science, which is based on several assumptions, so your science is then predetermined by your assumptions.
Both creation and evolution are religious beliefs. And we should recognize that God is on the side of creation. The Supreme Court has declared that secular humanism is a religion and it is the religion of atheism.
In the debate over life’s origin, there are only two core explanations: either an intelligent, eternal God created everything, or it arose through random, naturalistic processes without any divine intervention. These worldviews are mutually exclusive. If one is true, the other must be false. And while neither view can be proven by the modern scientific method—since both speak to events in the unobservable past—what can be demonstrated is that Darwinian evolution is both logically flawed and scientifically impossible. That fact alone points decisively to the truth of biblical creation.
In this opening Creation Bullet, Bill Nowers launches a straightforward and foundational strike against Darwinism: creation is not religion, and evolution is not science—both are belief systems based on presuppositions. As Answers in Genesis aptly defines it, this is a matter of “historical science”—science based on assumptions about the past. Creationists begin with the Word of God. Evolutionists begin with the assumption that there is no God. Both build their interpretations on those foundations.
Evolution Is Not Objective Science—It’s Humanist Religion
Darwinists love to claim the high ground of “science” while dismissing biblical creation as mere “religion.” But this claim doesn’t hold up. Neither evolution nor creation can be measured, tested, or repeated in a laboratory. Both fall outside the bounds of what is typically called operational science. This puts both squarely in the realm of worldview-based interpretation.
Nowers reminds us that even the U.S. Supreme Court has declared secular humanism to be a religion. And secular humanism, at its core, is the philosophical foundation of Darwinian evolution. Evolution suggests that life originated from non-life, order emerged from chaos, and intelligent beings evolved from random mutations—all without any intelligent source or guiding purpose. This isn’t science—it’s a faith statement, deeply rooted in materialistic naturalism.
By contrast, young earth creationism (YEC) is rooted in the historical testimony of Scripture. It makes claims about the past based on the direct revelation of God, who was present in the beginning. Christians aren’t ashamed to call this faith, but it’s not a blind leap. It’s a reasoned trust in the Word of the One who created time, matter, and life itself.
Destroying the Myth of Neutral Ground
One of the most dangerous myths in our culture is the idea that science is neutral and objective, while faith is biased and subjective. But as Nowers puts it, “your science is then predetermined by your assumptions.” If you assume there is no God, you will interpret every fossil, every star, and every cell through a lens that filters out the possibility of divine creation. That isn’t neutrality—it’s rebellion disguised as reason.
This Creation Bullet drives a nail deep into the heart of evolutionary deception. Christians must stop surrendering to the lie that Darwinism is somehow the default explanation of reality. It is not. It is one religious view among many, and it has consistently failed to explain the origin of life, the complexity of cells, or the irreducible systems found in biology.
The Only Foundation That Stands
The Bible opens with a thunderous declaration: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). No disclaimers. No apologies. Just the truth. That truth is not only foundational to Genesis—it’s foundational to the gospel. Jesus Himself affirmed the Genesis account (Mark 10:6), and the apostle Paul tied our salvation to the literal, historical fall of a literal man named Adam (Romans 5:12-19).
To deny biblical creation is to chip away at the very authority of Scripture. If Genesis can’t be trusted, why should we trust the rest of the Bible? That’s why this battle matters. It’s not just a science issue—it’s a spiritual war over truth itself.
Let this be our challenge: expose the false religion of evolution, defend the truth of Scripture, and stand firm on the foundation that cannot be shaken—God’s Word.
