The majority of scientist and biology teachers say the Universe came about from nothing, accidentally by random chance; that everything evolved from a Big Bang and God was not involved. They insist that Evolution is more than a theory: it is a fact! Their authority comes from their having earned a PhD in some scientific field, which they feel gives them a superior ability to make determinations about the history of our Origins.
Evolutionary theory rejects God’s intervention; the majority of evolutionists are atheistic as are their leadings spokesmen down through the years. (Darwin, Huxley, Sagan, Gould, Mayr, Ruse, Weinberg, Hawkins and Dawkins)
Atheism rules in the courts, government, media, and educational establishment and is especially supreme in the universities. While all scientists are not atheistic, they must fall in lock-step and bow to the naturalistic philosophy if they want to advance or keep their jobs. Ironically, most Christian colleges’ science departments affirm evolution or some phase especially the billions of years time frame.
The Creationist say that God created the Universe in 6 days and that He created everything there is; nothing exists that He didn’t make. Their authority comes from the BIBLE. You just read what it says. No spin, no interpretation needed, no seminary training nor theological degrees required.
We need to consider our human limitations. From our present position can we really know how something began about 6,000 years ago, as the Creationist would say, or billions of years ago according to the Evolutionist?
We are talking about our historical origins, how it all came about. Nobody was there as an eyewitness. There was one exception. According to the Bible Adam was created after the animals and he was a participant in seeing God bring forth a woman. Consider this was 6,000 years ago with a participating witness. The Evolutionist say evolution progressed billions of years before animal evolved into man.
The Evolution side first. They have to admit that the ‘scientific experiment’ (operational science that is testable) is not applicable to explain a historical advent that occurred billions of years ago. They can speculate that certain pools of prebiotic soup was struck by lighting and that began it all. But no experiment exists that can falsify or prove it. They have a number of theories: The Big Bang Theory, The Oscillating Universe Theory, The Static Universe Theory, The Steady State Theory, The Plasma Theory and the Cyclic Theory. Take your pick!
In Fred Heeren’s book Show Me God it states, “Our solar system formed about 4.6 billion years ago, a date arrived at through isotope dating of lunar rocks and meteorites.” Does it seem reasonable that a rock can reveal this time frame? This sounds like ‘science fiction.’
The Creationist has only the Bible for his ‘facts’. The Bible tell us “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.” It also says “that truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities- His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.”
Albert Einstein said- “the harmony of natural law reveals an intelligence of such superiority that, compared with it, all the systematic thinking and activity of human beings is an utterly insignificant reflection.” I believe that is exactly what the evolutionist is doing, uttering insignificant reflections and corrupting science in the process.
A recent article in the Wall Street Journal was describing how the world’s leading climate scientists were working in tandem to block freedom of information requests, blackballing dissenting scientist, manipulating the peer-review process and obscuring, destroying or massaging inconvenient temperature data that doesn’t support global warming. This is the near perfect description of the methods of evolutionary scientist who block any dissenting views. Their careers and funding are dependent on the acceptance of the evolutionary theory.
While there are Creation Scientist who have developed information they say supports the creation account, the Christian bases his belief on the reading of the Word concerning our historical origins. However I recommend organizations such as the Institute for Creation Research, Answers in Genesis and Creation Ministries International as they provide excellent affirmations that support Creationism.
Of course, you have people who don’t believe the Bible and reject God. Creationism is unbelievable to them.
God said we were created in His own image. The evolutionist says we evolved from the monkey or some common ancestor.
The creationist says that after 150 years of searching and examining millions of fossils there are no transitional fossils found; the evolutionist says yes there are.
The creationist says the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics disproves evolution, the evolutionist says no it doesn’t.
The creationist and the evolutionist will never agree. It all boils down to do you believe in God and His word, the Bible, or don’t you.
The BIBLE tells us ‘we know that there is only one God, the Father, who created everything, and we exist for Him. And there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom God made everything and through whom we have been given life.”
In speaking of those who oppose the cross of Christ, God says, “I will destroy human wisdom and discard their most brilliant ideas.” The scripture continues-“So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made them all look foolish and has shown their wisdom to be useless nonsense.”

Also consider the statement of Dr. T. N. Tahmisian, a physiologist with the AEC- “Scientist who go about teaching that evolution is a fact of life are great con men, and the story they are telling may be the greatest hoax ever”.
The point is that God’s creative acts go beyond what we call science. God’s spoken acts are so awesome that they exceed man’s scientific abilities to understand and to explain. In other words, concerning our historical origins, the Biblical record trumps man’s scientific speculations and a bankrupt theory from the 19th Century.
