Virtue, like Freedom, is a prize for which every generation must contend – and win! Rakazzi

The second presidential debate is now history, and for Values Voters especially, the debates have confirmed a huge and deeply troubling gap between the two parties and their presidential nominees on fundamental moral and religious issues.

Bishop-Jackson-DCThe question for all of us is thus very simple.   Who will take a stand for the inalienable rights of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness – or what our Founders understood to mean as “Virtue”? And who will take a stand for Faith, Marriage, and the Family?

Sadly, President Obama and the Democratic Party are taking a stand on the wrong side. For example, on the all-important issue of Life, they believe it is perfectly all right to destroy unborn babies right up until actual delivery and even, in President Obama’s case, after they have been delivered.

On the issue of Marriage, they believe men should be allowed to marry men and women to marry women. Moreover, they oppose and plan to overturn a federal law passed in 1996 that defines marriage as between only one man and one woman.

And now they are forcing faith-based organizations to violate their conscience, particularly on the Life issue. So much for their inalienable right of Liberty and also for the First Amendment right to the free exercise of their religion.

Therefore, is it any wonder that pastors across the country are now taking a stand as never before for the religious and moral principles on which America was founded and has prospered.

So what can “We the People” do to help restore America to its Godly Heritage on Nov. 6?

That is one of the questions we will ask Bishop E.W. Jackson as we talk about “Taking a S.T.A.N.D. for God & Country”. We will also ask him why he believes America is at one of the most “critical periods” in our history, and that if we don’t take a STAND now, we will fall.
