Church, Unite for the Soul of America! Based on Ezekiel 33:1-5

Fellow believers, today we stand at a crucial crossroads, not just in the life of our nation, but in the stewardship of our faith. As your watchman, appointed to proclaim God’s truth, I am compelled by the Spirit to sound the trumpet of warning and call to action, as outlined in Ezekiel 33:1-5.

Christians need to be engaged in the 2024 presidential election. The freedoms we enjoy and the country that we love are in jeopardy. But Christians must unite if we are to make a difference. If our voices are not heard, and our votes are not counted, then every evil, demonic philosophy will fill the vacuum. But what if you don’t particularly like either candidate? What if you feel apathetic about this year’s election? Pastor Gary makes the argument that voting is not just a right, but a duty, and he helps us to understand how Christians can be involved in the political process.

The soul of America is under siege, not by foreign powers, but by moral and spiritual decay that threatens the very foundations upon which this great nation was built. Our response cannot be passive. As the scripture charges, it is our duty to act as vigilant watchmen, alerting others to the danger and calling them to righteousness.

In this critical hour, I implore each of you to embrace your roles as ambassadors of Christ. We are called not only to preach the Gospel but to live it out actively in every sphere of life, including the civic arena. We must be salt and light in a world that desperately needs preservation and enlightenment. Our engagement in the political process is not an endorsement of human solutions but a commitment to promote Godly principles in all areas of governance.

The issues before us are clear:

  • We must defend the sanctity of life, for every human being is made in the image of God.
  • We must protect religious freedom, ensuring that no one is compelled to compromise their beliefs.
  • We must uphold the divine institution of family, advocating for policies that strengthen and not undermine this cornerstone of society.

As we face the upcoming elections, let us not be swayed by personality or party loyalty but guided by our unwavering commitment to biblical truths. Let our votes reflect our values, our hope in Christ, and our love for the country that God has entrusted to us.

Remember, government is not our savior; we look only to Jesus Christ for salvation. However, until He returns, we are entrusted with this great land and the freedoms that many have sacrificed to secure. May we be faithful stewards of these gifts.

Therefore, Church, unite! Let your voices be heard in the halls of power.

Vote in a manner that honors God, respects the dignity of all people, and seeks the welfare of our nation. Stand firm in the faith, be courageous and strong, and do everything in love, for the glory of God and the good of America.

I urge you to listen intently to this message from Gary and share it with everyone you know. It is time to muster the troops of Christ for the sake of our nation and our children’s future. Together, let us rally for the soul of America.

Let us pray for revival — a true turning back to God across our land. May the Lord heal our country and renew our spirit, that once again, we may truly be a nation under God.

Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

God bless you all, and God bless the United States of America!

About the Author

Virginia Christian Alliance
The mission of the VIRGINIA CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE is to promote moral, social and scientific issues we face today from a Biblical point of view. In addition we will refute and oppose, not with hate, but with facts and humor, the secular cultural abuses that have overridden laws and standards of conduct of the past. We will encourage Christians to participate in these efforts through conferences, development of position papers, booklets and tracts, radio/TV spots, newspaper ads and articles and letters-to-the editor, web sites, newsletters and providing speakers for church and civic meetings.
