For Life, for Gatherings, for Renewal, & for Votes  Summary of Opportunities and Events Against a background of growing racial, ideological, religious, and political divides, plus instances of physical violence, it is time to come together again as One Nation under God, Indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for All.    To that end, attached below is information about a range of groups that work at the local, state, and national level to defend and promote the core Judeo-Christian values and constitutional principles on which America was founded and has prospered.  See details below.  Hurricanes:   The Valley Responds The Valley Responds:  In response to the call last month for help in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, the Valley contributed 521 buckets of urgently needed items, six pallets of water, and six pallets of other miscellaneous materials for the Steve Wingfield Evangelistic Association to collect and distribute to the victims.  An additional $7,000 came in to defray the cost of the shipping.  Laus Deo! VA State Capitol Event May 4th, 2017 12:00 AM - 1:00 PM, The State Capitol event will be held near the Bell Tower at 12:00 noon. The guest speaker at the Capitol event will be Timothy Cole, Executive Director of Strategies to Elevate People (STEP). Prayers will be led by Jonathan Young, 4th District Richmond School Board Member; Michel Zajur, CEO of Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Rev. Keisha Powell, Assistant Pastor of Community Baptist Church in Richmond. The Armstrong High School Color Guard will participate, and the Banner Christian School will provide music. After each prayer leader begins a prayer for the 7 centers of power, those present will pray together in small groups for Government, Military, Business, Media, Education, Churches, and Families.
