“Rekindle the Dream” with E.W. Jackson, Feb 25
1. Next Wednesday, Feb. 25: Bishop E.W. Jackson invites us to join a National Service on Reconciliation at 7:00 p.m. in the Congressional Auditorium of the Capitol Visitor Center in Washington DC. The goal is to “Rekindle the Dream” of Martin Luther King, Jr., to turn the page on the history of slavery and segregation, and to embrace a future of healing and reconciliation. It is meant to serve as a model for communities to bring people together across racial and cultural lines.
In addition to E.W., the program will feature Bishop Harry Jackson, Alveda King, and Pastor Jim Garlow as well as representatives from Ferguson, New York, and other areas where racial unrest has erupted in recent months. Seating is free but limited. Attendees must RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org . For additional information, go to www.standamerica.us/rekindle-the-dream.
