Crossroads: A Sexual Revolution

“Spiritual Idolatry leads to Sexual Immorality.  The converse is also true.  Sexual Immorality leads to Spiritual Idolatry.”  (Rakazzi)

“Woe to those who publicly flaunt their sins as Sodom and are not even ashamed. … They know the judgment of God is on them, but they hate God and don’t care.  They go right ahead and do them anyway – and encourage others to do them too.”  (Isaiah 3:9 and Romans 29:32)

“Woe to those who say that evil is good and good is evil.  They reward those who are wicked but punish those who are innocent.”  (Isaiah 5:20 – 23)

The Word, the World, and the Sexual Revolution

In a culture that seems to have gone stark raving mad, we have been addressing the ravaging destruction of a Sexual Revolution that has been building in America for decades — with devastating consequences for common sense standards of decency and morality that will impact generations to come.

This weekend, we are concluding our series of four programs on this “Sexual Revolution” by repeating a program that features Todd Pruitt, lead pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Harrisonburg, to respond to this topsy-turvy world and discuss the role of the Church and the Pew in standing up for God’s Truth as revealed in His Word.

On Sexual Relationships:  What should we be doing to defend and restore God’s design for sexual intimacy instead of granting special privileges to other forms of sexual activity referred to under various names:  “sexual orientation”, “gender identity”, “transgender”, and same-sex attractions?

How should we respond when the Obama and McAuliffe administrations shake their collective fists in the face of God and put pressure on the courts to include same-sex couplings in the definition of marriage?

On Compromise:  What should we be doing to confront and restore churches and self-identified “Christian” organizations like Eastern Mennonite University when they reject Biblical authority and openly promote what God has clearly condemned?

We are called “bigots” and “haters” by LGBT activists, but doesn’t true love require that we call “sin” a “sin” and warn against it rather than condoning and even promoting it as something “good” — despite the harm that it does to those who practice it?

On Freedom:  What should we do when LGBT forces and their compliant collaborators compel Christians to accept and even to participate in these immoral activities under threat of persecution and prosecution?

Standing for Truth at the Crossroads

About the Author

Virginia Christian Alliance
The mission of the VIRGINIA CHRISTIAN ALLIANCE is to promote moral, social and scientific issues we face today from a Biblical point of view. In addition we will refute and oppose, not with hate, but with facts and humor, the secular cultural abuses that have overridden laws and standards of conduct of the past. We will encourage Christians to participate in these efforts through conferences, development of position papers, booklets and tracts, radio/TV spots, newspaper ads and articles and letters-to-the editor, web sites, newsletters and providing speakers for church and civic meetings.
